1965 Fender Stratocaster Lake Placid Blue

$1.00

This very cool 1965 Fender Stratocaster in original Lake Placid Blue Metallic finish with distinctive figured Maple neck has just come in from its second owner! He told us that he's owned it since the early 1970s and has kept it in nice condition. It's completely original except for a convincing factory style bone nut.

Measurements: 8.2 lbs / 3.7 kg total weight. The neck measures 1.64" / 41.65mm wide at the nut, 0.84" deep at the first fret, and 1.00" deep at the 12th fret. The neck pickup reads 5.36k ohms, the middle reads 5.76k ohms, and the bridge pickup reads 6.41k ohms. The neck heel date reads "2OCT65B" and the pickup dates read "12-7-65". The potentiometer codes indicate the 32nd week of 1965.

Originality: All parts, solder, and finish are original to this Stratocaster except for a professionally cut and installed bone nut.

Playability: Excellent. The neck is dead straight, truss rod functions as intended, the factory wide frets have been dressed/leveled, and the electronics are clean and operate as intended.

Condition: Excellent! There's a spot of natural wear on the back of the body by the belly contour under the upper horn. Apart from that, it's clean with typical nicks, dings, and scratches.

Included: The original case is included.

Fine Print: All guitars ship via FedEx Priority Overnight for domestic sales or FedEx Priority International. I offer a 48 hour approval period beginning on delivery for all sales during which you are welcome to opt for a return as long as the guitar is still in as-sent condition. I do not charge a restocking fee, but any non-refunded payment processing fees, outbound shipping, and return shipping costs are subtracted from the refund in the case of a return.
